April 2009 spoilers.

Sorry about leaving this so long but Zoe hasn't really been in HO alot recently!

Tuesday 21st April

Archie rolls into Halls, looking for a drinking buddy, to discover that Zoe's all but finished her film. Using this as the perfect excuse to get back on it, Archie refuses to take no for an answer and enlists Zoe as his foil for prompt elevenses in the SU bar. Zoe manages to embrace her brother's vulgarity for a few hours and there is a real sense of sibling camaraderie as the two sink a few in the SU Bar and discuss their futures. When they return to halls, Zoe is putting the final touches on her film when Archie pops a bottle of celebratory Cava. To Zoe's horror, the bubbly sprays all over her laptop and in the blink of an eye, her film is lost…

Wednesday 22nd April

Archie feels guilty after wiping Zoe's film and is concerned when he realises she didn't come home last night. Kris isn't happy to be woken from his sleep but Archie needs help finding her, worried she's going to fail her course and it's all his fault. Archie's relieved when Zoe turns up, but he's not in her good books as she's been up all night trying to salvage her work. Zoe meets Adrian, her film studies lecturer, to discuss her film but she's crushed when he tells her if she hands in what she's done so far she's going to fail. Adrian's sympathetic after hearing about Zoe's problems and gives her a four week extension to start something new. Zoe's gutted - she'll never be able to start the whole thing from scratch and meet the deadline. Zoe's devastated as her dream of going to film school is slipping away...

Thursday 23rd April

Zoe has pulled an all nighter trying to make up for the work Archie lost on her final project for university. Fuelled with caffeine, her attempts seem to amount to nothing. She is cheered slightly by a flirtatious Darren, but is ultimately resigned to the fact that she's failed her course. Having witnessed Zoe laughing with Darren earlier, a jealous Mike approaches her and offers to help her. Zoe's intrigued; could Mike be the key to her university success?

Friday 24th April

To Josh and Rhys' amusement, Neville has gone ahead with his plans to record a song for Suzanne for their anniversary. Giving him relatively short shrift, the boys decide to plough on with their own musical ambitions. Kris suggests they go back on the radio to appeal for a singer for The Somethings. In a desperate bid to find a singer, Josh puts on the CD of the mystery radio voice in the SU Bar in vain hope the songstress might be in the bar at the time. He's left empty handed when he discovers that Neville has recorded over the mystery voice with his anniversary song. Furious that they're going nowhere fast, Rhys takes it out on Hayley in the nastiest possible way and she storms out of the bar. Back in halls Rhys and Josh overhear someone in Zoe's room singing angelically and they think they've found their lead vocalist at last. That is until the brothers burst into Zoe's room and realise it's not Zoe who's singing at all…

Zoe is experiencing chronic writer's block as she attempts to write, direct and edit a new film in just four weeks. Hayley convinces her that she has to go and talk to her tutor about her predicament. Instead, Zoe heads over to Mike's to pick up some of her belongings and stumbles across an old script that Mike wrote. After a moment’s hesitation, she pockets it and scarpers. Over a drink Zoe tells Hayley she might have come up with some new material for the film.

Wednesday 29th April

Sarah attempts damage limitation with Michaela as she tries to work out if she's told anyone about her kiss with Lydia. However, they're interrupted by loud music and upon investigating, discover Myra in temptress mode, flirting with Mike over breakfast. As the girls secretly watch their respective parents, they're mortified by their behaviour. Michaela reproaches Myra for the attention she's showing Mike, but she acts innocent and is hurt when Mike suggests they head off to see if the rats have left the McQueens. Upon entering the house it becomes clear that it's been set up as some sort of love nest by Mercedes and Malachy and it appears that the rats have miraculously disappeared. A thrilled Mike is quick to offer his help to get Myra back in her own home, much to her dismay. Arriving with their suitcases, Mike is relieved to be unburdened and is grateful to receive a nude painting from Myra as a thank you for putting them up. However, this is all halted when a sudden movement under the carpet announces the return of the rats and Mike finds himself with a house full of McQueens once more…

Elliot reluctantly listens as Archie gives him advice on the female species. Meanwhile Zoe and Sarah listen to Leila's troubles over Elliot. Deciding that they need something to look forward to, Zoe plans a girls’ night in for tomorrow - strictly no boys allowed. When Leila arrives for her scratching lesson, Elliot is out of his comfort zone when talk turns to love and how she feels about him. Deciding that he's just not into her, a defeated Leila leaves. Zoe's reluctant to tell an inquisitive Sarah about her film project and quickly closes down the conversation. Her attention is soon diverted when Sarah admits to kissing Lydia and that they're pretty much going out. As Sarah opens up about her fears of starting a lesbian relationship, Zoe attempts to allay her doubts. Archie and Elliot's arrival brings more discussion over relationships and leaves Sarah in even more of a quandary about her feelings for Lydia. As the banter flows, Leila walks into the SU Bar just in time to see Sarah's dare to kiss Elliot. Obviously upset, Leila flees before anyone sees her.

Thursday 30th April

Sarah, still confused about her sexuality, is awkward when she bumps into Lydia outside the SU. She declines Lydia's offer of a drink, telling her she needs to get back home. Lydia later finds out from Leila that Sarah lied and is going to Zoe's sleepover, to which they are all invited. Seeing a chance to tackle Sarah, Leila drags Lydia along with her. Sarah is immediately tense when Lydia arrives but Lydia makes every effort to ignore her, as does Leila who's angry at Sarah after seeing her kiss Elliot the night before. After observing Sarah and Zoe's closeness, Lydia decides there's something going on between them and makes an excuse to leave to get red wine. While she's gone, Sarah confronts Leila about her frostiness and Leila is forced to admit what she saw. Sarah tries to explain that the kiss was a test, but with Leila not believing, Sarah has to admit she's gay and has feelings for Lydia. Lydia returns but seeing Zoe and Sarah together again riles her and she confronts the pair before leaving. Sarah heads out to find her and admits to Lydia she's struggling with her sexuality. Lydia begins to understand how Sarah's been feeling and the pair share a passionate kiss.

Leila is hurt and angry after seeing Sarah and Elliot kiss the night before. She turns up with Lydia to Zoe's sleepover but is frosty towards Sarah, who immediately realises that something is up. The girls are unaware that Elliot and Archie are hiding in Zak’s room, listening to all they say and on hearing Leila confront Sarah about the kiss, Elliot is gutted that he's upset her so much. Leila admits to Sarah and Zoe about how she feels for Elliot and that him telling her he didn't love her was the worst moment of her life. Archie, desperate for the toilet, is forced to leave the room, causing shock and outrage with the girls when they realise they've been hiding. Leila is hurt and embarrassed that Elliot has heard everything and bursts into tears as Zoe throws him out.
