Mike runs into Lydia in the village and she is obviously still an emotional wreck. He invites her to come and stay for a while, at least until the court case is over. Back in Halls, everyone's going insane listening to Archie's conspiracy theories and matters come to a head when Archie berates Charlotte for standing by Lydia. With Sarah's funeral looming, Archie is determined to get to the bottom of how she died and clear Zoe's name. Things are awkward between him and the other students after he claimed that Sarah had committed suicide. They don't know what to believe but Archie's accusations have riled a distraught Mike, so they advise Archie to let things cool down. Lydia comforts Mike, reassuring him that Sarah was in no way suicidal and when Archie interrupts her lunch with Mike and Charlotte, she quickly takes control of the situation and encourages Mike to leave her to talk to Archie alone. Archie has decided to organise a campaign to help prove Zoe's innocence but Lydia fears this will only implicate her. With the pressure mounting, Lydia feels she is losing control and admits to a confused Archie that Sarah was never meant to die.
